Our mission is to provide a sense of comfort and support to hospitalized children as they return home. We strive to make their transition as smooth as possible by creating custom 'welcome home' kits tailored to their needs and preferences.

Hi, my name is Anna Heflin and I am a junior at Chatham High School. I am a co-founder and President of Welcoming Warriors. This opportunity brings me great joy as I want all children to feel welcomed when they return home from a challenging time!
Kathryn (Kate) Heflin
Hi I'm Kate Heflin, a co-founder and the Vice President of Welcoming Warriors! I am currently a sophomore at Chatham High School. I am always looking for oppurtunities to contribute to my community and immediately wanted to help when my sister and I thought of this idea!

Goryeb Children's Hospital
We decided to enforce our organization's efforts at the Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown. It is a non-profit children's hospital apart of the Atlantic Health System. It offers specialized care for children from infancy to adolescence.
Our Commitment
At Welcoming Warriors, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of discharged hospitalized children. We believe that every child deserves a warm and loving home environment after a hospital visit. By providing the tools and resources for a smooth transition, we hope the children find joy in their transition home. We work closely with healthcare providers and families to understand the unique needs of each child. Through our 'welcome home' kits, we aim to bring joy and a sense of belonging to these brave young children.
